Cool, clear, water

Stopping by the local watering hole (of which she has her choice of dozens at this time of year). Considering the plight of much of the world, we're damned lucky to have cool, clear water pure enough to drink all over the place. Mark my words... wars will be fought over this stuff in the not too distant future.

Sumac getting ready for another season

When these sumac shrubs are sporting their full colours in summer and fall, they're spectacular. A little less so after a long and stormy winter. About the only colour around at this time of year.

I get a chuckle out of this... somehow reminds me of a young singer and the backup trio. The young deer on the left is so hungry he's/she's not paying attention to what the others have spotted.
