Morning on the Trail

Part of our walking trails.

  1. Maybe I wrote to Craig about this, but this has to be one of the most singularly beautiful images I've ever seen.

You're a child and walking amidst shadow and feeling unsafe, then you see this patch of light ahead and it's filled with these incredibly sweet colours, and beneficence and safety. You rush forward and become part of the loveliness and play, cavort, among all the pastels and secret paths.

    Thank you.

  2. Thanks Robert, for your thoughtful and generously kind observation of this photograph. And thanks for visiting my lonely blog. I haven't taken a photo or posted anything for a long time. My sessions behind the lens run in spurts - sometimes years pass before I again get the urge.

Right now I just marvel at the wonderful work that Craig does - his sensitivity for the subtleties in his images, and the amount of time and work required to massage them into their final states, far surpass my abilities and patience.

    1. Well, yes. Craig is exceptional, a 'one-off'. I esteem him highly.

But, damn, I do love that photograph, like something out of Grimms' Fairy Tales.
